SERVITRIA is awarded the contract for the maintenance of Social Security data centres

The facilities store data on contributions, pensions and benefits of the social protection system.

Initially the contract has a duration of two years and is valued at €2.2 million.

Madrid, 11th September 2024. The Social Security IT Department has awarded SERVITRIA, a leading company in the provision of comprehensive services in the industrial sector, a contract for the maintenance of its data processing centres (DPC) in the Madrid region. The contract, worth 2.2 million euros, will start in October, with an initial duration of 24 months, which can be extended for a further two years.

The project includes the provision of a comprehensive all-risk maintenance service for the electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, fire protection system and locksmithing installations of this organisation’s data processing centres.

Specifically, SERVITRIA’s Maintenance and Installations team will work on the electrical installations for air conditioning, refrigeration and fire protection system in technical rooms located in Doctor Tolosa Latour Street, in Madrid city, and in Alcuñeza street, in the municipality of Torrejón de Ardoz. The project will contribute to the growth of the team, with the incorporation of more than 20 operators and a service manager.

Currently, the CPD of the Social Security IT Management is used to store and manage digital information related to pay slips, pensions and other documents related to the working life of the different civil servants of the Spanish State.

These centres are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, with high-precision cooling equipment to maintain optimum operating temperatures, generators to ensure the power supply, and uninterruptible power supply systems to protect against power cuts and surges. The facilities house both physical and virtual servers that store and process large volumes of data.

In 2022 SERVITRIA was already awarded the contract for the comprehensive maintenance of these facilities in a joint venture for a period of two years, which it is now renewing on its own, reinforcing its position as a benchmark company in the maintenance service of technological buildings.
